The most dangerous man in Malaysia is a cartoonist!
It's really late but I just had to comment on this ridiculous piece of news
I've had the honor of interviewing Zunar in person, and I came away with the impression that he is a man of principle.
He has been harrassed, had his books banned, and suffered great financial losses because of previous government actions against him, yet continues to wield his pen and keep on producing cartoon after scathing cartoon.
These simple doodles lampoon the Najib administration, yes, for their follies and inconsistencies.
There isn't a single cartoon of his that comment on race or religion, something a certain newspaper seem to have been granted a monopoly for.
Yet the authorities have apparently decided belatedly that these cartoons have become too much of threats to society that they now warrant his arrest under the sedition act.
It seems that this goverment has lost both its intelligence and sense of humour.
