I like to think that endings don't make a story.

Instead, it's Plot that makes for a good tale.

That's all a good story really needs: a beginning, a strong middle, and an appropriate ending.

Our values, after all, evolve.

A friendship between individuals who've grown to develop opposing sets of values will definitely be tense.

In such situations, probably only divine patience would let the friendships survive.
