its is christmas eve here in Kuala Terengganu, though you would't know it without a calendar.

This is not KL. There are no xmas buntings hanging off lamposts, no fake trees with tinsel coiled on it, come to think of it, if there were banners wishing road users 'Happy Christmas' in jawi (which might be a requirement by law, or not), that would be ridiculous bordering on controversial.

How would you spell that anyway? "Ha ya pa ya"?
