There’s nothing wrong about being open. 

Some people say, in fact, you ought to say yes to anything that comes your way. 


If it’s a suggestion, say yes. If it’s a challenge, say yes. If it’s a feeling, say YES. 


 Even if it’s a stupid idea, or for something you don’t feel is right for you. 

 If it’s something that’s difficult for you to picture yourself doing, that’s probably Adventure knocking on your door. 

But don’t seek it out. 


Don’t look for trouble. 


That’s unnecessary. And stupid. 

Let it come to you. 

Whether as a suggestion, a challenge, a note or a feeling. 


Listen, or you’ll miss your cue.

Crippling self-doubt and hate kill a story more often than censors do. 

Don't blame the censoring folks, they get a bad rap anyway. It's just their job, protecting innocent minds. 

People who make those stuff up but too lazy of finding ways to put it in a way that the C-folks don’t see it as objectionable material should learn how to.

That is, if they ever get to learning how to write subtle subversion, since they’re too busy editing themselves. In their heads.

even conformists will come across people who disagree with them at some point.

It is impossible to live a life where everybody agrees with you all the time.

My personal feeling is that a conflict-free life breeds complacency, and its malformed cousins like entitlement, idiocy, etc.

Healthy conflict is, well, healthy.

Repressing all conflict is sick. It also makes you weak
